Responding to a legitimate if carefully planted parliamentary question regarding war crimes being committed in Syria, Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has launched a blistering attack on the brave men and women of the US Air Force and the RAF. He said:

“Well I think my honourable friend reminds us of an important fact. Somebody goes in to another country, starts bombing civilian populations, destroying hospitals and schools.

If, and it`s still a big if, they decide that five months later they have done enough, let`s not give them too much praise. It`s a bit like `did he stop beating his wife`.

The fact they are there in the first place is something we have to continually protest about. We should not give them any credit for simply withdrawing from these illegal activities.”

Philip Hammond continues to beat the rest of the shysters in the cabinet hypocrisy contest; Assad continues to beat his own people and Putin is beating everyone at being a devious little sod. Refugees fleeing from idiots trying to bomb them are beaten at Europe`s borders.

Philip Hammond is something of a liability.

  2. Glass houses immediately spring to mind. Closely followed by pots, kettles, shoes and a sailors arm across your chest.
